Next up someone i ran into this week is a guy named Strikey- being heard of all over the UK with his new release of his new single performing at 8 years old performing in front of thousands of people singing at religious festivals around the country, from which he then began to play instruments such as the Tabla, Harmonium, and the Keyboard. As he grew older he began to play the Violin, and Harmonica which were short lived due to his interest in music changing. He then found a passion for intelligently combining words to rhyme with the help from the Underground music scene. Soon after he discovered his talent he joined a group (FMK) which lead him into performing on radio on a regular basis, performing live at clubs (in the UK and abroad), and street battling. As time went on he grew independent and followed his passion for music on a more unique, sophisticated mature level which has lead him to where he is now. Being able to perform alongside artists such as Chamillionaire, performing in Portugal alongside there biggest artist Boss A.C, performing in Canada, Greece and all around the UK are just some of the many achievements this young artist has accomplished. At the age of 22 strikey is currently performing around on the release of his completed debut album ‘The Wait is Over’ which highlights the life and times of himself, showing various style beats with mixed elements of belief. Along with that release his first single off the album ‘I Remember’ is also available which will give the listener and idea of the life Strikey used to live while on his journey to where he is now, which is also well illustrated in the music video to accompany the single.

Its Friday night and DJ PLAYING MY TRACK!

Whats good guys its friday and approaching alot of hot tunes , kinda chilly around the states but all good! House parties, club parties, family parties, a dj is a must ! I was so happy that Slumdog won 4 golden globes that now Slumdog is up for 10 !!! yes 10 Nominations wow!!! 2 of which our god composer "Mr A.R Rahman" who composed the whole movies tracks! Probably have seen the movie almost 4 times and never get tired of it. Also as many of you know I also wrote about "Ash king" who is UK'S Rnb Singer who has singed in this upcoming movie"Delhi 6" coming out worldwide Feb 20,2009 make sure you all see it!

Another artist who's making buzz on the streets is "Code Red" -On Xmas Day north America's rising star Code Red took over a uk station where he called the world renoun dj sanj "a phoney" stating with hard facts that the guy can't produce, and has to turn to other producers to "ghost produce for him" - an later went on to say how he was also part of sanj's Scam as he produced several big hit anthems which got sanj to where he is today - thinking that he would be created yet the world failed to recognise the real man behind the tracks. As shocking as this was - this caused alot of heat in the industry, but it was about time "phonies" in the industry where named and shamed!! - Leave producing to the real guys! However alot of people didn't believe that Code Red produced hit anthems such as Soneh Lenghe Waliye (Lil Sach), Tenu Boulndee (Surinder Shinda), Aashiq Tera (Lehmeber), AWM Boliyan - but the latest promo release from his upcoming album The Code of The Streets entitled Pegg shows that Code Red is ready to take the industry by storm and take the crown from sanj's head! This last artist that i came across today , is someone by the name"Tariq Khan" a little bit of masti and a little bit of spice from this guy. He is introduced as one of the most dynamic singers in the Britsh Asian Music Industry halling from Manchester, UK this hot punjabi pop singer recorded is debut album at a very tender age while studying for his engineering diploma. What is Music all about?!

So I realized that many of my friends never listen to music or have a radio in their car....kinda old fashion if you tell me! Music is suppose to make you get away from your troubles. I even know many people who tend to listen to music while working out. What is playing on your ipod if you work out at the gym?! What kinda music calms you down when you want to get away!! What kinda tunes do you hear on your vacation trip when getting that great massage?!
Hmmm so many ways of hearing music!!!!!

First up is a good friend of mines out in Texas named DJScoop hes one of Texas finest...dj working along with bobby moon and many other known artist.

Uzair (Golu) has been a musician for 10 years. It was trance music that inspired Uzair to become a producer, and now also a sound engineer. Uzair discography includes production work for international artist “Bobby Moon (Goldman Records/T-Series)”, he co-produced the chart topping hit “Sundari, Mere Sapno Ki Rani, and O Mere Dil Ke Chain.” Uzair has also done movie scores for many indie films.

Surrounded by a vast blend of music since childhood, Maximus started out with a passion for R&B before being introduced to hip-hop. He quickly became engrossed in the sounds of Redman, Jay-Z, DMX, Big-L, Will Smith and the Wu Tang Clan. Perhaps this mixture is the reason for his versatile and lyrically entertaining style. ”I started off just messing around free styling and recorded a song here and there on my humble home recording set up”. That soon changed whilst in New York in his teens, when his family was contemplating a move to the US. He began battling and freestyling and was heard by a local DJ who asked him to record some material for a mixtape. Yes I'm saying from my perspective...this guy hasn't even come out with a album and already has done a song composed and produced by the god of India and Slumdog Millionaire- A.R rahman for upcoming movie Delhi 6 featuring one of the hottest tracks " Dil Gira Daftana" working along with A.R rahman is anyones dream come true. Golden Globe winner





and going home with 4 golden globes for outstanding performance of Slumdog Millionaire is just unbelievable! Ash King- Currently a regular on urban and indian radio stations with club favorites 'Sexy Girl', 'Take it easy' and 'Love is Blind'. Ash King breaks new ground for the Indian music community collaborating with such luminaries as R Kelly (US), rapper Flawless (UK) and Lebanese crooner Ramzi Sleiman.Ash King grew up in Edmonton, North London in a house with no television,"We only had a radio, So I'd listen to pop music most of the time or tapes that my dad would play of great folk music from all over India". Whats good guys its Saturday Night and I'm feeling like i should dance and kick back in my house and dance around. DJ Fricktion is a prominent figure on the UK and International DJ circuit. New Year New Music New Resolutions!!

Hey Bloggers so its the 13th of January and I'm super late and overdue on writing in my blog, so many things running through my head these past few weeks working on new projects!!! Fun stuff!!:) Got to start the year off right!

My goal this year is to start my own radio show"Miss Roshni" !!!

Another artist we have out in the UK that many of us have not really heard is Pav Purewal who's known to be great working along side with many few good names in the Punjab Music Scene. When I first was approached by a friend about this artist, i thought why not hear his stuff and see what punjabi folk music sounded like?! It blew me away! I loved it!

Pav has told me that "My production on my first album and my new album has been done by my good friend Aman Hayer. Aman Paji has taken his production level up a bar on every album he has worked on and his talent proceeds him. Aman Paji is doing amazing things and has given me great direction and influence in my new coming album. " Check out his tracks on his myspace, I found them really great!!!

When I asked Pav about his upcoming album he told me that....

"My new album is called ‘Rolling Like a Rockstar’ which I am releasing very soon. The reason in my title is because of all the great experiences I have had with my Ustad Jazzy Paji. I hope there is something for everyone on my new album."
