I was listening to some Old tunes from 2007- 2008 last nite when I ran into a girl named Ranjini that i really admire and enjoy her sound of music. Shes actually Coming out with a crzy album on Feb 24th..RANJINI BRINGS SWEET, EXOTIC TASTE OF INDIA TO R&B/POP WORLD WITH HER UPCOMING RELEASE "SILLY" IN ANTICIPATION OF HER DEBUT ALBUM FOR QWILITE ENTERTAINMENT Virginia Born Singer Of Indian Descent Is Currently Putting The Finishing Touches On Project, Which Features 12 Songs Co-written by Ranjini and Album Producer/Label President Quincy Patrick Launched By Famed Songwriter/Producer Patrick (Babyface, Usher, Luther Vandross, Joe), Qwilite Entertainment Takes A Fascinating
And Cutting Edge, Global Approach To Urban Music
....

To quote the title of a well-known Aerosmith song, you’ve gotta love the “Sweet Taste of India” that sensual and exotic newcomer Ranjini brings to the realms of contemporary R&B and pop music. While she is currently putting the finishing touches on her as yet untitled debut album release on Qwilite Entertainment—due in the 3rd quarter of 2009—all indications are that the Virginia born singer of Indian ancestry is going to be a global indie phenomenon.

QwiLite, the hot new label launched by famed songwriter/producer Quincy Patrick (Babyface, Usher, Luther Vandross, O Town) began Ranjini's international career by releasing her steamy, seductive video for her first single “This Guy” to MTV Asia—where it met with across the board enthusiasm. Soon after, QwiLite vigorously promoted her follow-up single “Music Box” to Top 40 pop and urban stations across the U.S. Ranjini's first two singles garnered much attention and fanfare, but it wasn't until QwiLite released her mega-hit remix of Akon's 2007 chart-topper "Don't Matter" that Ranjini feels she got her first taste of success.

Ranjini’s debut album is being produced by Patrick and features twelve songs co-written by the singer, who makes elements of her Indian culture as much a part of her music as her look. On the fashion side, she’s just as prone to complement her dark hair and skin tone with traditional garb (including wearing a dot on her forehead) as with urban-edged Rocawear and Dereon jeans. Musically and lyrically, her album features a mix of lush ballads, all-out, let your hair down dance tracks, and not to disappoint her loyal South-Asian fanbase, a handful of songs showcasing sweeping Indian nuances that share the pride of her rich heritage.
