This song to me keeps me thinking about what people have today and are so lucky, and back home we don't realize how much they don't have. Whats good Guys!?

Having a bad day but all good, music always cheers me up . That's what happens when you have a horrible day,and people you care about the most start to say things and never understand you. Although music sometimes are expressed in those ways. We all listen to music, we all enjoy it. But do we really know how one artist starts to write these tunes that are playing to our ears?! I don't think so, well it all starts out how artist get inspired by something or someone, they have a topic or think of something randomly and just start writing. Some artist even free-lance write...writing whatever comes to their mind.

But obviously that's not what my blog is about tonite, its Friday Night and the streets are fulled with parties, house parties, Greek Parties, College parties.. Its Christmas, Djs are playing at the Christmas parties, business party's' and more!Which means Dj's are bouncing in the club with tunes and people are boucning to the floor and touchin da ground!!

I have one crazy DJ who has been known to do that, I have known him for years, and truly admire his taste in his music. Infact as I'm writing this Blog I'm hearing his Track. JC from Sona Family JC is one of the best DJs to mash up Hiphop, RnB, UKG, Drum & Bass and bhangra all in one set and keep the party bumping. Constantly keeping those shook DJs peering over his shoulder to peep his hot exclusives, JC is the backbone of Sona Family's live experience. Born and raised in Southampton, JC got into DJing through an older cousin who used to teach breakdancing and popping at the local youth centre . Now that is just cute and awesome!

It wasn't until 2001 when JC hollered at Harry and his crew (which consisted of Usmaan and Krazy King Shucks), to record some freestyles for his new mixtape that the first version of Sona Family, the Sona Kaadaan, emerged. It was on this mixtape that the now infamous" Hai Kuthi" was first heard. This then led to the SONA KAADAAN mixtape which included the legendary "Oi" remix, and the rest as they say, is history. JC's influences range from Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Public Enemy, Too Short, Eric B, EPMD to Punjabi folk music such as Yamala Jatt, Surinder Shinda, Manak, and Mohammad Sadiq. The integration of these Hiphop and desi influences have moulded him into the top DJ that he is, able to serve a diverse crowed. These days you will find JC rocking shows with Sona Family as well DJing at clubs up and down the country such as Bombay Bronx (where he is a resident), Shaanti, FunkShaan, Friction and internationally in India, Dubai, Europe and the USA.

Another Artist that has not yet been heard of alot out in North America is someone named Nizam hes out in Canada...whats up with Canada..they are taken over with the artist and the UrbanScene...hmmmm?! Does UK, USA, AND Canada have competition. I don't think so , hey its music, and music to my ears is fun, not competition. If music was a competition then it would be war and i know no one likes that word!!:)

Nizam Yar Khan aka Nizam or The Nizam as he is widely known, is a hip hop MC from Toronto, Canada. His style is a raw and elemental form of hip hop often found missing in today's mainstream arena of music. His passion for music began at an early age, where he was exposed to genres ranging from soul, hip hop, jazz all the way to drum and bass, hindi, and bhangra. As an artist Nizam paints the pictures of expression, reflection and captures the magnitude of hip hop culture and the sentiment of the Asian Diaspora from Toronto to London and all over the world. Some of his influences include Gangstarr, Rakim, The Wu Tang Clan, and Pete Rock to name a few. So my day starts out with some craziness alarm going off to baba kahn-Shiva which is a hot track and loud to wake you up. I don't think soo......A DJ loves his Music Tools and for one thing this girl loves it. Her name is Dj Kayper and shes out in UK. Coming out with the best Mixes of 2080's she puts on a great show and her mixing skills are Bananas!! One thing for sure if your in NYC for NYE she will be DJing live at Kush Lounge.

Kayper launched her own club night called Ebonics in 2004 at the Cambridge Fez Club. Yea so The Bilz and Kashif just came back from tour but not only did they go to Mumbai to hit some collabos...they hit Dubai check out their videos as they toured Mumbai and Dubai....Turn the Music up guys! :-)






One new artist on the Big Buzz is someone named "Navin Kundra" hes a great artist out in the UK..managed by Raghavs old Managment ....in my opinion the guys got mad talent and awesome voice.......young, talented, and his trailer is out for his upcoming Single " Love Thing" with a twist of some Bhangra....for all you Bale Bale lovers!

Whats hot this Month!!

So starting my blog is actually really fun, writing daily thoughts about what i love, at this point i keep playing Keyisha Cole Heaven Sent, soothing and relaxing to listen to especially at night.....what makes a good song? What kinda music is Good for the right mood....on a date, in the car, on your ipod....well theirs so many new artist developing in the Urban Scene and we just never notice it, notice the talent.

Groups are developing , we don't have many in the scene. Two of my favorites are The Bilz and Kashif and Sona Family out in Canada and UK.

The Bilz & Kashif hit the road and do two major shows after coming home from India, breaking deals and signing collabos, the bilz and kashif are about to make major moves with their second album Breaking Barriers. www.myspace.com/thebilz

I think that new artist are being created each week in this Urban Scene, maybe not all good maybe not all are bad.. but the true meaning of becoming an artist that some people forget is ..that its Art...Music Is Art.....its suppose to be fun...not politically and about hate and who's good who's bad...music should be fun.....

Being in the Bollywood and Urban Desi Movement era and learning , I have seen many people create war on music, many musicians create hatred on music, why hate , yes everyone has their opinion on a good beat, good rhythm, but the people who have negative feedback sometimes do it because of jealousy....everyone is equal.. We live in a world full of hatred, and crime, and war ....if Music was peacefully and fun, many would get along by expressing their words into Lyrics

Today is my first day of Writing in a blog, and The Music Industry is Dying...we all know that due to economic reasons its dying... Urban Desi Scene needs to create some hype and some awarness.....so lets..! Today is December 1st,2008 and a early start in what I call a Brand new way of Marketing Urban Music. As many of you guys know I am a strong beliver of Urban Music. We all enjoy music, we all enjoy singing, but sometimes politics gets in theway. Working in the Urban Scene, I think its time that artist should not judge things in a political way. If you want to become a singer then write and sing for fans not for politics. The world is ugly. Politics is super ugly.So sing and have fun write and enjoy life......don't do it because you want to show people your the best. Sing and write music because its a passion. I have a major passion for Marketing, I enjoy it and i do my best at it. We all hate politics, so lets just all get along :)

The hottest stuff on the market is Urban/Bollywood.....we enjoy it we love it, listenrs carry their ipod everywhere from trains to planes....from cars to buses....so here are the hot topics of the urban scene for this week!!!

This video is the Offical Exclusive Raghav Video"Humrahee" -my opinion on this song is hot , steamy, and romantic. Black and white is the new thing, will never die....raghav has done a great job 10/10
